Today they closed the office at 3!
I had to pick up Vern at 7pm..didnt want to come home and back and when I was heading to the bridge the 3 day holiday weekend escape traffic was already in full swing...so I took some trader joe munchies and pulled over into the East beach parking lot near crissy fields and decided to go explore that coast line. I drive by it all the time to and from work and I always wanted to see what was down there...
it was a 1.5 mile walk one way to fort point from there...and away I went,
it was a nice day outside and I had my Camera in hand.
Taking probaly too many pictures ,
I was pleasantly surprised to see you could go into the fort, ( I just thought I was gonan look at the underneath fo the bridge lol
I dont know what I was expecting but it was awesome. I love stuff like that!
it was a half hour before they were gonna close and not many people were there...it was so eerie to walk thru some of those dark unlit hallways..and getting lost in all the bends and dead ends.
alot of my pics are dark and I should of deleted them but I kept em in just to document the darkness I kept finding myself in , in my lil adventure.
all in all I had a surprisingly Great afternoon to myself...my feet hurt after my 3 miles walk and I am tired..but well worth it.

I keep getting sharp pains in my back along my spine, like a pinch nerve perhaps..it makes me do li spasms...
not attractive.
and I am sure my coworkers thik I am even weirder than they already do.
Luckily most of my dept, is a nerd in some way or another
but my message to my back...OWWWWW...stop it now I mean it! |

so last night I made Mac n cheese...from a box..cause we are in budget mode...no biggie
I threw in some tuna and peas and left over shredded cheese to give it something extra..it was good and I liked it...even have left overs for lunch today, which beat top ramen any day!
but after I made it...I was watching the food network like I tend to do...and what is on?
2 back to back episodes on none other than MAC n CHEESE...
First Good Eats...i luv Alton brown he rocks
and then some food challenge show...NICE
not to sound cheesy (pa dum pa)
but it would seem it was fated for us to eat that last night...hehee

Tracy says that the mayan calendar ends on 12-20-2012..and supposedly that is when the end of time is suppose to be.
it is a nicely arrange set of numbers...what are those things that are the same forward and backwards??
reminds me of that.

I did not see any Sunbears in the SF zoo...I thought I recalled someone telling me recently they had some.
well they did have 2 bear pens empty..and poor sinage in the bear section...so I dont know what was in those pens or suppose to be...
they did have speckled bears..which sorta look similair but sont have the claws and the shorter features and were too big. |

papa wasnt let out of hospital today, had fever..and something else we think they may not be telling us...
Uncle Mitch was sent home, but he hasnt told us why, says he will say in person..that statement alone is worrisome..

Happy Hallow in San Jose , is starting a complete overhaul of renovations, changing my childhood memories into things of the past...Parents not wanting there kids to play on wood or metal things...spinters BAH, it was fine for us....either way, they held a huge auction yesterday, that my mom told me about...and I went since I was down in the area anyways...one last look at one of my all time favorite childhood places before it is changes significantly. part of it was already torn down (the old castle entryway).
I had my tenth birthday (also went this year, but only zoo was open cause of rain) party there...the Viking ship, always my personal favorite I spent the most time near.

My sister called me late tonight my pops was in the emergency room with only 10 to 20 % of his kidneys working ...
not good.
so I drove down at around 10 to fremont to go see him...by the time I arrived they ommitted him into an ICU room...
he says he is ok, but the doctors tell us differntly
he is getting more test done and seeing a specialist tomorrow...please send good thoughts, vibes , prayers or whatever you do for him and me please..thanks in advance
feel extra bad for my sis cause her mother in law is also seriously ill right now, so her household is getting bad juju from both ends :( |
